Terms of Use.

These terms explain how to use the UMS Learning platform, courses, certifications, store, messages, and payments.

Last updated: November 2, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By using the Unique Magnifier Solutions website, student portal, courses, certifications, store, messaging, or support features, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Accounts and eligibility

Students sign up with a username and password. Email and phone are optional profile details and are never required to log in. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for activity under your account. Learners under 18 should use UMS with a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision.

3. Courses and lessons

Free courses are available after you enrol. Paid courses are available after payment is confirmed, either by a UMS staff member checking a bank transfer or through a configured online payment. Lessons are unlocked in order: you must pass the quiz at the end of each lesson to open the next one. UMS may update course content, prices, schedules, and availability, with reasonable notice where possible.

4. Payments, refunds, and access

Prices are set and charged in Nigerian naira (NGN). Where we show an approximate price in your own currency, it is for convenience only, based on the latest published exchange rate. Your bank applies its own rate and fees, and the naira amount shown at checkout is the amount due. For bank transfers, please use the reference we give you so we can confirm your payment. Access to a paid course or certification starts when payment is confirmed. Refund requests are considered individually and must be sent to our support team within a reasonable time after purchase, with the reference of your payment.

5. Store orders and delivery

Gadgets and components are sold while stock is available. Your order reserves the stock until payment is confirmed or the order is cancelled. Delivery fees are shown at checkout. We ship to the address you enter; please check it carefully, as we cannot be responsible for delivery to a wrong address you provided. Electronic components should be used with care and according to the manufacturer’s guidance.

6. Certifications and academic integrity

Certification exams and practical tasks must be your own work. You must not share exam answers, use another person’s submission, or use tools to gain an unfair advantage. Automatic scoring and starter reviews are a first assessment; UMS may review, re-mark, or withhold a certificate where there is evidence of misconduct. Certificates confirm the assessment you completed on the date shown.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the platform. This includes uploading harmful code or files, attempting to access other people’s accounts or records, interfering with the site, sending spam or abusive messages, impersonating UMS staff, or collecting other learners’ personal information.

8. Hands-on learning and safety

Many courses use electronics, batteries, tools, motors, and connected devices. You are responsible for working safely: follow the safety guidance in each lesson, disconnect power before changing wires, and keep children supervised around tools and electrical components. UMS does not compile or upload code on this website; programs are written and uploaded with official tools such as the Arduino IDE, Arduino Cloud Editor, or PictoBlox, as explained in each course.

9. Intellectual property

UMS owns its course content, lesson materials, certificates, and the UMS name and logo. You may use course materials for your own learning and may not copy, resell, or publish them without written permission. Projects you create remain yours.

10. Third-party links and services

The platform links to third-party tools, such as official software, payment providers, and social media. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control.

11. Disclaimers

The platform is provided on an “as is” basis. We work to keep it available, accurate, and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that any particular result will follow from completing a course.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, UMS is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to UMS for the course, certification, or order concerned.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, misuses the platform, or puts other learners at risk. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform grows. The date at the top shows the latest change. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. For questions, contact info@uniquemagnifiersolutions.com or +234 703 823 1300. Our address is Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria.
